Aims and scope

The journal Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca has been issued since 1965 under the care of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The journal has been assessed and received recognition because of its high scientifically quality by the CNCSIS (The National University Research Council from Romania).

The journal publishes significant research and results of interest to a wide audience of plant scientists in all areas of plant biology and agriculture, horticulture, forestry, focused on the development of new methods of investigation and research, genetic resources and diversity, genetics and plant breeding. The journal encourages authors to frame their research questions and discuss their results in terms of the major questions of plant biology and agriculture, thereby maximizing the impact, spreading and value of their research.

The papers must be of potential interest to a significant number of scientists and, if specific to a local situation, must be relevant to a wide body of knowledge in biology and agronomy. Articles should make a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge or toward a better understanding of existing biological and agricultural concepts. All contributions in these fields are welcomed; Western authors are invited to publish and also original papers from all countries are accepted, including Eastern Europe, Latin America, Central America, Africa and Asia in order to promote the performances of the authors from emerging countries.

The Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca journal offers peer review, online submission and publication upon acceptance.

An international Editorial Board advises the journal. There are no publishing fee and no pay for submission.

The total content of the journal may be used for educational, non-profit purposes without regard to copyright. The committee encourages the distribution of the material, but asks the sources to be mentioned, respectively the authors and publication, as a complete name (Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca) or abbreviation (Not. Bot. Hort. Agrobot. Cluj).
