Zu den Vorteilen des Kulturgrunlandes gehort - neben hoher Ertragsfahigkeit guter Futterqualitat und niedrigem Kostenpreis auch eine gleichmassige Staffelung der Futterproduktion, ermoglicht durch Ansaat von Arten und Sorten von unterschiedlichem Wachstum.
